City Parks Services has very high standards for parks and reserves maintence, being responsible for Auckland's 'jewels in the crown' green spaces such as Albert Park, Auckland Domain and Wintergardens, David Nathan Park, Dove Myer Robinson Park, Western Springs Lakeside, Barry Curtis Park, and Manukau Square. At these sites our staff provide a strong public interface on behalf of our customers.

City Parks Services also specialises in event clean ups, for example, most recently following Pasifika festival at Western Springs Lakeside, numerous neighbourhood events and the clean up following the U2 concerts at Mt Smart stadium in November. We also collect loose litter - over 613 hectares in central and west Auckland parks and reserves.

City Parks Services mowing, edging and turf renovation responsibilities range from high profile catcher mowing through to passive broad acre mowing to rotary slasher and long reach mowing in parks and reserves.

We also carry out horticultural maintenance on numerous sites throughout Auckland ranging from high profile sites to street gardens. This includes all garden types ranging from annual and formal carpet beds, perennial borders, shrubs, trees and pleasance areas as well as intensive horticultural displays in the glasshouses and fernery of the Domain Wintergardens.

City Parks Services also has extensive experience in revegetation maintenance from the planning, plant sourcing/production phase through to the physical implementation, including pest control. We are currently responsible for a revegetation contract in Waitakere City, which involves weed control, plant supply and planting of 25,000 plants as well as ongoing site maintenance. Our own nursery produced the eco-sourced plant supply.

The team has also undertaken rehabilitation work at both Blackwell's Quarry, Great Barrier Island and Stony Ridge Quarry, Waiheke Island. These projects involved weed and rabbit control, planting and associated works to mitigate the effects of the quarry operation and enhance the natural environment through restoring species-rich native cover on areas alongside the quarry and on the surrounding slopes that had been cleared or disturbed. Ongoing after care of the planting is also being undertaken.
