Services - Event Clean Up

City Parks Services offers a full range of open space maintenance solutions, and we pride ourselves on providing clean events, with a quality service being a priority. Event clean up is a specialist service that we offer. Depending on the venue and the type of event, the methodology is customised. Thus each event clean up tends to have unique characteristics.

We have a pool of well trained staff who are all specialists in event clean up. Events that we have worked on in the past year include various community Christmas events, such as Three Kings, Ponsonby and Avondale, the Pasifika Festival at Western Springs (see case study) and Rally New Zealand at Queens Wharf and the Auckland Domain, both earlier this year. In November, City Parks Services undertook the successful clean up at Mt Smart stadium for the U2 concerts over two nights.

All our clean up services focus on recycling and reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill. All the waste collected at each event is sorted into various types of recyclable materials, and delivered to the appropriate recycling facilities. Only waste that is not recyclable is taken to landfills. This is part of our commitment to operating in a sustainable way.
